How can young adult’s get a novel published?


Have you ever had a dream that people said was to far to reach? Well if you did then you will understand me. For the past two years I have been trying to get my book published. I actually have been thinking about my book published ever since I was in the 7th grade, now I am a senior. As I get older the reality of becoming an author becomes more realistic. Trying to get my book had published has been a journey and it is soon to come to an end.
The paper will include the following things, editing, copywriting your work. The difference between self publishing and going through an agent. The background information on urban fiction, statistics, and if there are support groups for young writers.

1. Synopsis- summary of text.

2. Cover Letter- accompanying, explanatory letter: a letter sent with another document or package, providing necessary or additional information.

3. Editor- Someone who edits you work.

4. Agent- Someone who promotes you work.

5. Novel- a fictitious prose narrative of considerable length and complexity, portraying characters and usually presenting a sequential organization of action and scenes.

6. Query letter- a request for information.

7. Publish- prepare text or work to be published or viewed by the public.

8. Publisher- A company or person that represents your work and attempts to sell it.

9. Theme- what the theme or type of your novel has.

10. Publishing house- established publishing company: an established publishing company that prepares and produces material in printed or electronic form for distribution and, usually, sale.

In the past week!!

In the past week i have accomplised alot. i got my entire st. agnes presenation prepared. i contacted about 5 or 6 publishing companies. i have did background reasech on my synopsis and i started my powerpoint. i updated mywebsite a little bit. and over the weekend i will start writng the cover letter and synopsis or at least i will atempt.

I am currently working on my lesson plan for the two classes and contacting schools and what dates will best fit them. I'm currently having trouble on ehat to write my research paper on...So if you could clerify altlle bit that'll be good.
